Stranger,
you are no stranger to me
Stranger, strange -
you are what I set out to see
I'd ask from you for a fraction of space
for me, the refugee;
I'd beg from you the talk you would waste
on others, certainly
Not just any stranger,
Only the most peculiar
You're the most distant one, you see
But you're the closest to me
So I'll keep you a stranger
Not as a friend
Since friends become strangers
when our curiousness ends
Perhaps not you
not you in particular
Even if you've gone somewhere new
My heart unwillingly sets on you
Partners don't notice
nor strangers do
But in partners that's novice
and in strangers it's blue
